Choice

Wisdom is knowing our character is shaped by our everyday relationship CHOICES.

An unwise heart allows their ego to prioritise money, social opinion and material things above the most important people in our heart’s life.

The great beauty of heart relationships as opposed to biological relationships is that they are all about free will. Our heart-connected nearest and dearest CHOOSE relationships with us because they want to. We CHOOSE them because of our genuine heartfelt desire.

It is important to remember these relationships are a luxury and a privilege, not a right. We do not own them or they us, we are all free to come and go as and when we wish. Heart relationships fall into three categories ‘Reasons’, ‘Seasons’ and ‘Lifetimes’.

None of us get to know in advance which relationship will fit where; Mother Nature and Father Time make these calls. Some people touch our hearts for a short time and their love had a reason for its brief visit. Some stay a little longer for a full season and we get to learn more about our own heart through them. Sometimes it feels like a great Summer, other times with the gift of hindsight we see it was a cold and bitter Winter!

Then there are the lifetime relationships that are our greatest teachers.

So let’s remember from now on to do or very best not to judge other’s CHOICES harshly. We too have left relationships in our past for good reason, or grown tired of a mono-seasoned connection.

Comes a time when the heart needs to move on in order to continue its growth, and a time when the heart needs to put down roots and stay. Let’s be grateful for those who have moved on and those who CHOOSE still to stay. Heartfelt love is a luxury, friendship is an earnt privilege, and past relationships always hold gifts of growth for us if we CHOOSE to acknowledge them.

Sometimes it is important to review and take time to honour the three ‘C’s of life? CHOICES, ‘Chances’ and ‘Changes’.

We must make a CHOICE, and take a ‘chance’ or our lives will never ‘change’.

Another reality to reflect upon is that our so called dysfunctional or ‘bad CHOICES’ always result in good stories and powerful lessons down the track, so let’s also remember to not lose our sense of adventure or humour.

Thank you for making the CHOICE to share this time with me here and now, I am so grateful you are there.

Lotsa love Cynthia xxx
