“Insane people are always sure they are just fine. It’s only the sane people who are willing to admit sometimes they are a little CRAZY.” Amen, to Nora Ephron’s observation.
When we decide it’s time to finally make room more love and beauty in our lives the fear that previously hogged this space doesn’t always leave quietly. My fears have shouted loudly at me many times “You’re f#*#ing crazy” as have some people in my past who preferred me to remain as a fearful female.
To keep believing in love and dreams seems CRAZY to some when past relationships and dreams have crashed and burned. However to remain committed to changing our lives for the better can be scary as we let go of the familiar to trek unchartered territory. Some people are quite frankly happier remaining unhappy and content to remain discontented. Count me out of that lifestyle and pour me a megga mug of CRAZY please!!
Sometimes when it feels like we are at our CRAZIEST it’s because we are actually leaving insanity behind and claiming our sanity! Fear however is unrelenting and will wail at us pleading like an hysterical child to come back. Fear will try to convince us that we’re CRAZY to believe in love.
So let’s do our best to remember that people like us that invest in self care, growth, change and believe in love are often called a bit CRAY CRAY by those living in fear. So be it!
The Mad Hatter is one of my favourite fairytale heroes, so I will sign off with some dialogue between him and the delightful Alice …
The Mad Hatter: “Have I gone mad?”
Alice: “I’m afraid so. You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a little secret, all the best people are!”
Lotsa love Cynthia xxx
