INCONVENIENCE

Change is married to INCONVENIENCE.

Any area of our lives where we would like healthy change i.e. more love to be present, we must prepare for change and its loyal spouse INCONVENIENCE to show up in our lives too.

Love’s job is to heal and dissolve fear.

Love is the agent of change.

Fear splinters in our heart that need to be removed to make room for more love will often cause us INCONVENIENT pain. So many of us wince and pull away from the inevitable pain that comes with change and love’s healing like we do when disinfectant is applied to a wound.

When relationships become INCONVENIENT it is an indicator change and the opportunity for new growth is under way. Sometimes this means a time to hold on, sometimes it is time to let go. Either choice to change usually feels INCONVENIENT. So the tip I always share when a client asks …

“What do I do, hold on or let go?” …

I remind them to be rigorously honest with their heart’s truth and do whatever they must to hold on to love and let go of fear. And that skill takes a courageous and emotionally fit heart to master.

I myself am still very much a work in progress. It’s challenging to be brave enough to consistently hold on when we get love and to generously let go as we give it. It’s our lifetime’s biggest assignment too many among us just give up and settle for a life that involves no healthy risks.

But not you and me!

Here we are, open to growth and necessary healthy change, not willing to sacrifice our heart’s often INCONVENIENT truth for fear-driven reassurances.

No matter how much change INCONVENIENCES us we all know that the biggest risk in life is to risk nothing at all.

Lotsa love Cynthia xxx
